Client: Julie Stevens, survivor of stage 4 inoperable colon cancer, Founder and Chief Joy Officer, MOJO Health (selection from full set of images below).

Background: MOJO Health revolutionizes cancer care, inspired by Julie Stevens' speedy journey to remission in nine months. Teaming up with cancer specialist Oscar Sierra, Julie devised a holistic approach integrating genomics, lifestyle changes, and holistic therapies. Their mission is to empower all newly diagnosed patients with personalized tools and support for lifelong wellness. Anchored in patient-centric values like data-driven decisions and joy maximization, MOJO Health redefines cancer treatment, celebrating victories and fostering a community-driven movement toward healing. With Julie's international team in town for MOJO Health's launch party, Julie reached out for headshots and branding photos for their new MOJO Health website.

Strategy: Julie wanted her branding photos to show the amazing people behind MOJO Health, educate website visitors, and also stay true to Julie's trademark vibrant, fun vibe. After consulting Julie, we decided that while much of the shoot would be committed to headshots and team shots, she also wanted to promote cancer fighting supplements (instead of flowers!), show off her new app, feature MOJO Healing (her new book) and her capture her EMF shielding tranquility blanket.

Execution: With the vibrant colors and fun aesthetic of MOJO Health's brand, Julie and I worked together to find a bright space full of character for her shoot. The Disco Church checked all of the boxes, with its multiple colorful backdrops, crushed velvet sofa and disco balls. I captured basic headshots of her team in front of a white backdrop, as well as some in front of a more colorful backdrop. We rotated through multiple outfits, costumes and props, depicting individuals, the team, the app, the "knowledge bomb," MOJO Healing and the EMF shielding tranquility blanket.
